WASTE IN, MILES OUT

REFUEL WITH HVO IN ONE OF EUROPE'S LARGEST PROFESSIONAL FUEL NETWORKS

HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a paraffinic diesel fuel in accordance with DIN EN 15940. It is produced from biogenic waste and residual materials and can be used in diesel vehicles with the appropriate manufacturer approval.

WHY HVO?

  • Potential for up to 90% lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil diesel*
  • Can be used either as a blend component or as a neat fuel
  • No modifications to engines or fuel infrastructure required
  • Europe-wide filling station network with the continuous expansion of HVO100 availability

*The figure is based on the available delivery certificates for the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. Actual reductions may vary depending on feedstock and supply chain.

WHAT IS HYDROTREATED VEGETABLE OIL (HVO100)?

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS FUEL

  • 01

HVO is produced by treating vegetable oils and other biogenic feedstocks with hydrogen in a catalytic process, converting them into hydrocarbons. This process creates fuel properties similar to those of conventional diesel, allowing HVO to be used either as a blend component or as a neat fuel.

  • 02

Feedstocks used in the production of HVO include used cooking oils, animal waste fats and other biogenic waste and residual materials.

  • 03

HVO can contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in road transport.
